Marketing Southampton Update

Marketing Southampton logoThe Marketing Southampton Alliance has recently identified some potential funding that could give the city’s digital image a boost. Having reviewed how Southampton markets itself on the internet against other cities, the potential for greater collaboration across organisations and a reduction in duplicated content are clear opportunities for the city to present itself better digitally.

Marketing Southampton is proposing an umbrella portal which will act as the ‘front door’ to the city providing current, dynamic content on visiting, living in, studying in or doing business in Southampton along with information on events and the future of the city’s built environment.

Marketing Southampton’s bid to secure part funding for this project subject to approval from Southampton Connect early this year, means the portal could become a reality during 2012.
