Future Southampton

Southampton's greatest design experts, architects and construction companies from competing companies have come together to come up with a blueprint for the city.

Together they have been instrumental in persuading Southampton City Council to create a Masterplan for the city and produced their own document to feed into that planning process.

Chairman of the group Richard Summers from LHC explained they had walked the city spine to see for themselves the challenges and opportunities and they came up with their own document to feed into that planning process.

Around 50 designers, architects, planning experts and developers are now involved with the group.
 
Good dialogue between the Future Southampton Group and Southampton City Council has meant they have been able to meet with the consultants and offer their local knowledge when drawing up the Masterplan for the city.
