Solent India Business Network

The Solent India Business Network (SIBN) aims to promote the Indian business community within the Solent region and foster links and opportunities between the region and India.

Business Solent is proud to be a Board Member and support the alliance.

Several events have been held in the city by SIBN bringing together business leaders and leading Asian commentators.

A recent delegation to India included Amarjit Singh from Dutton Gregory LLP, co-founder of the Solent India Business Network. It was a major success – and more look set to follow.

Mr Singh, who helped establish the network in the region with Adam Wheeler of the University of Southampton, explained the seven-day visit was organised by the UK India Business Council.

It was the first delegation Mr Singh had been involved with and the group visited the major metropolis of Mumbai and the emerging cities of Pune and Kolkata.

Solent India Business Network was set up in 2009 to build closer links between the Solent region and companies in India.

A striking number of links between India and the South East already exist. In the future SIBN may organise its own Solent delegation and the group is already working with wider stakeholders to create a business corridor between the Solent and India.
